I am disappointed in the looks of this new Camaro. I was looking forward to this car but it looks like a cross between a Dodge Challenger and a Dodge Charger.
I would agree with that assessment. It looks a lot like a Dodge magnum and pales in comparison to the job Ford did in staying true to the origional form of the Mustang .
I think Chevy should stick with muscle cars and trucks. They need to break away from competing with Toyota, Honda, Nissan and all those korean car companys with the small cars and minivans. They will only lose money in the those vehicle segments unless they can somehow come up with some new revolutionary technology that will beat their competition. As long as their costs are higher than the others, they will need more offerings like the Camaro to be different and yet sell at a higher price.
Doesn't scream Camaro the way the Mustang echos the older models. Looks more like a Mopar. The dash, from the video, is butt ugly(literally). Yet another offering w/ pillbox window slits, is that suppose to be a side impact safety thing?I prefer a room w/ a view.

Porsche launched the first 911 turbo in the midst of the 1970's oil crisis. Seems like it has all paid off very well. I agree this new camaro resembles mopar and the stern is hideous. Fix the butt and I would probably like it.
Doesn't anyone here remember the original series of Camaro? Look at the side from the window back, the rear view, and the small rear window, looks a lot like the '67,'68, & '69. I think mopar stole some of chevy's earlier designs. I like it My 1st car was a white '79 and the admirals 1st was a red '78, we've talked over the years about getting another one to share. Haven't decided on a classic or not but would consider a new one for reliability (hopefully)
I've always been a GM fan, (Drive a Sierra), but that car is ugly. Hate to say it but I think the Dodge Charger looks way cooler. Still it will be interesting to see what they look like in person.

Car builders cannot survive building only econo boxes and family sedans.
Agreed but GM should have put some more old school into it. It's too close the Challanger. Just what the hell is wrong with real bumpers anyway???
I'm glad I was not wanting one, I'd be disappointed.

I've never been a racist. I don't like the white half either.
Porsche and Camaro ??? the 911 is a far superior to camaro ? GM will be broke before they put it in production !!!
The Dumb asses at GM should be building a 80-100 MPG car like HONDA !!! Not building a stupid Flex Fuel Tahoe or a Hybrid Tahoe
What a Joke !! How bout a Solar Hummer. Sorry but American auto builders need to get off the POT or they will be in a bad state in the coming years. 4.00 fuel is here to stay and we may look back as it was a deal at 4 dollars remember when it hit 2 .00
Looks alot like the older camaros. Anybody want a side wager that the base model doesn't have an EPA rating hwy above 26? PM me and get in line! Are we gonna start comparing Camaros and Porsche's and Corvettes. I was going to say let's talk about bang for the buck but, I'll go fishing.
