Ok, I'm getting kinda p!ssed about my rates. I've always heard that when you turn 25 your rates go down. Well, that happened over a year ago, and my rates went down maybe $10 bucks. This was on two vehicles, one a 2001 Dakota, the other a 1968 Bonneville. Before I turned 25, my rates were consistantly 140/month. Fast foward to december, I bought a 2001 Accord, dropped the 68', and my rates are now 129/month. The only mark on my record is one speeding ticket, under 5 mph over the limit, from October 2005. I've priced out all of the "discount" insurance companies, and get rates in the neighborhood of 145/month. If I drop the collision/comp coverage from both vehicles, it only goes down a total of $20/month. Both vehicles are paid for, not to mention the two of them are worth less than 15k combined. Is this in line with your rates?
Not sure about the monthly amount but I have 3 personal cars(this does not include business vehicles) that consist of 2002 Trailblazer, 2004 Dodge 1500 4x4 Hemi, 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GT and my premiums run around $1200 every 6 months and this is full coverage with pretty high limits on coverage and $500 deductible and ONE male driver that is 20 yrs old.
We all 3 have good driver discount and he has the Drivers Ed Discount for SC.
Mine is with Farm Bureau

tprice, got a number for your agent? I would have to think that being that I am the sole driver of two separate vehicles that some consideration would be taken since I can only be in one at a time. The part of the whole deal that really bugs me is that if I price either one of the alone, it is only slightly higher than half my overall rates, yet I am the only driver.
Why don't you have "classic car" insurance on a 68? It will cost about $ 100/YEAR! Some allow it to be driven wherever/whenever but some have limitaions. Look into it. I use JC Taylor.
We have three cars registered a Jeep grand Cherokee for the Admiral with full coverage and two Ramblers with liability and paid 1200 per yr. for all till my 18 yr old daughter just got her license. That was almost 2 grand extra to add her. In Ma. they don't go by your age but by yrs. of diving experience with points added for accidents or tickets.
