Default Time to Scream LOUD and HARD...

Nothings going to change with the price of fuel until we scream loud and hard...its a fact that diesel fuel is the first fuel cracked off of crude and is therefor the cheapest to produce and hence should be the cheapest to consume...not so...the advantage to owning a diesel boat is GONE...While President Bush was in Saudi Arabia the other day he asked for an increase in production to lower prices here in the US...the Saudis told him no...during the same trip...sitting down to talk with the same people he singed an agreement to defend Saudi Arabia from foreign aggression and to spill American Blood to defend Saudi Oil Fields and Oil Facilities...just doesn't seem right does it? NOW is the time to contact your US Congressman/woman and your US Senator...be polite, be informed and make your argument...

Until we tap into our own oil we are at thier mercy. Scream at ourselves for not harvesting it safely cleanly now. By the time we get around to it in 30 years it wont be worth s__t because tech advances.

Man that felt GREAT! Thanks.

I just screamed around the bay for 3 hours at 55 mph, chopping up manatees and blasting no wake zones, and I feel wonderful.

I had no idea that congress and the president could control the price of the oil market. Can they control the price of oil for the rest of the world markets too?

I don't think so. Everyone else was out drilling for oil on the internet.

Looks to me like they can't do anything about the cost of OIL. Mr Bush did make a trip over there last week and asked them to increse production and lower the cost and they told him to go pound sand. Wow hes good. Had them shaking in their space boots.

Let's keep this simple now.

We increase the supply of oil, and keep doing it until we are all swimming in it.

We reduce the demand for oil by building nuclear power plants, and pick a few other promising technologies to make strategic investments in.

We have lost over $400 billion in annual purchasing power over the last two years - a dead weight loss to every man, woman and child in the US. How much would the above cost as a percentage of that?

Can you think of a better way to spend the money that the Government is taxing/borrowing/printing. Where else can we get any where near as comparable a potential return on investment of national resources?

Fortunately, the world's single-largest oil deposit sits right here in North America. Time magazine calls it "Canada's biggest buried treasure." It's an area with up to 2.5 trillion barrels of oil, locked in Alberta sand. That's eight times the total reserves of Saudi Arabia, enough to satisfy the world's demand for petroleum for the next century.

What he said. And while we're at it, quit spending more than we make, and invest the difference in profitable companies producing things that we wish to consume. Bellyaching gets you nowhere fast. A wise man prospers even in difficult times.
