Yesterday while I was out chopping up Manatees and burning the shiite out of fossil fuels, it occurred to me (between screamings) that the price per barrel of the good stuff has increased approximately 20% in the last 60-ish days, but there is no way that demand could have shot up that much in that short time span. Physically impossible, I say.

Speculators are part of the Supply & Demand mandala. That is how it is, right or wrong.

It actually would be a nice thing if Presidents and Congress could control the price of oil, it would then get lowered by all this whining.
