Default Best Beer for beer batter

Going to make up some beer batter for some fish and pheasant i got in the fridge. Anyone have any feedback on which brand is best for this? thanks

always a fan of Pabst Blue Ribbon myself. An yes, I even enjoy drinking it, my favorite beer actually.

put a teaspoon of baking powder in the batter. I like shiner bock for my batters.

I always used something I like the flavor of, might as well use something with some taste. After all, that is the point.

I wouldn't subject a McDs filet of fish sandwich to PBR. And you can't blame the Esso for your poor beer judgement because Busch was only a dollar at happy hour. At least you don't have to make faces to get the first couple down.
Back to the topic at hand anything with a good hoppy character will add the flavor you are looking for.

DON'T POUR BEER IN BATTER!!!! Drink it for God's sake and grille the fish on your barbecue or a George Foreman---better for you anyway and you'll enjoy the beer more as well.
