I miss the barrel jumping in the Winter Games. As kids, it gave us something to do on frozen pond without having to round up 12 friends for a hockey game. I was big into speed skating and the jumping thing. Come to think of it, why not bring in back in Winter X Games... if they high jump dirt bikes, why not long jump beer kegs?
And for the summer games ping pong is just rediculous.
I somethimes play and enjoy ping pong, but it is worthy enough to be an Olympic Sport? I don't think so................well maybe drunk ping pong
If you ever played someone who plays ping-pong at the level they play in the Olympics you would realize why it is in there. Infact if you could return more then once from an Olympic player I would be impressed.
However with curling, I don't get why horseshoes isn't in the summer games if curling is in the winter games.

I don't disagree. I would get my azz waxed playing against an "Olympic" pong player. Shoot, most highschool kids could beat me all day long.

I don't think that barrel jumping was an Olympic Sport. They did show it all of the time on Wide World of Sports but I just don't recall it as an Olympic Sport. I could be wrong. The Winter Xgames start in a week or so and will be on ESPN and one of the big tree TV channels.
It's got to be that ball and flag dancing. Thay make faces at the crowd and jump around holding a flag in one hand and a big red ball in the other.
The ball and flag thingy is ok because it is sparsely clad young ladies dancing around. But as soon as guys start prancing around in tights waving flags and tossing around balls I'm with you...change the channel.
The original Olympics in Greece were performed nude. Maybe we should bring back the traditional mode of competition. Esp the ice skating and gymnastic events. Female of course, we have to have some standards of decency.
