It was sooner than I expected but my wife saw a dog on the internet
through petfinder.com . It was at a local shelter. She's a golden /lab retriever mix with
red brown fur. She's 2 years old, housebroken, sees the kids and lies on her back for belly rubs! She doesn't chew the kids toys or anything else.
I'm enjoying her laid back disposition compared to the terrier mix dogs I've adopted before. I really didn't expect to be able to deal with another dog so soon after Philo died,
but this dog fits the family well. I'd like to think that something good came of Philo's passing that we were able to give a good dog a good home.
God Bless for getting a shelter dog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just got finished watching DogTown on National Geographic....wow....those are some special people...as are you guys for adopting a dog!!!
I have a pair of labs that we adopted from shelters as older dogs that needed a new home. I can't imagine being without those two. Congrats on your new retriever.
