Default Officer almost Killed

If you have not seen this, it is a video of a traffic stop for speeding that goes bad, and in a hurry. Starts out as somewhat " routine " and goes from there. This is one of the same cops that some here refer to as Nazis, skinheads, a-holes, etc.....Its just part of the risk thats taken and accepted every day. We all know that there are bad apples in every bunch, thats just the way it is...but the overwhelming majority are just like this guy.

Yeah, I've seen that one on TV before.

Forget the Taser, where's the M-16 with RPG's?

Seriously, I don't know how cops maintain their composure when a couple of animals like that open fire on one of their own.

Well this cop should have done a better job to start with. His instincts told him something was not right. Hispanic males. Cops still profile. He should have considered who he was dealing with more carefully. I am glad he survived and had his BP vest on. Do you think these guys passed the background check for their weapons?

What I don't get is why are they still alive? With all that on tape they should have been dispatched like wild dogs. Why are we wasting money keeping scum like that alive. Atleast use as crash dummies or something like that.

Yep,
Thats any officer's worst nightmare. Glad the officer lived. Those guys definitely had a death wish, too bad they did not get it... Today while answering a call I had a guy run out of his car on me and run into a rear door of a nearby suspected crack house. After about 30 seconds I went around to the front of the house to see the guy emerge and start running again as I am yelling for him to stop. Of course I am without backup. By the time I get an officer around to the house and get the owner and occupants of the house to the door, the weed smell blows me down. We wind up getting a bunch of crack, weed and a shotgun out of the house. I also find two empty pistol boxes and ammo, but could never find the pistols. The dirtbag tells me the other guy ran off with them. I was at least able to give the guy a couple of felonies for my trouble, but my runner was in the house for a minute or so, so he had plenty of time to get armed. Could have been a bad day for me, guess thats why I can't sleep right now and I am on THT. Retirement cant come soon enough, 3 years to go, stuff like that make you old quick...

Yeah I've been up all night doing estimates for a precast warehouse...not exactly dangerous, but sure ain't fun. Why not give the construction industry a shot when you get off the beat Cracker?

My buddy's brother in law is a new cop after two tours in Iraq and one in Haiti as a Marine, so he said right now having seen one gun pulled by a bad guy in his first 8 months on the beat feels darned quiet compared to the previous 8 years.

Cracker a Cop. LOL. Let's see would your username have anything to do with how you treat the aahh minorities ? Now I know who was whining about Lex. Have you ever seen a dirty cop Cracker? Would you even know what to look for for, or is chasing young punks your cup of tea? 3 years to go and you are chasing Thugs. Yep, something is wrong. you should be a LT, or Capt or some supervisor. How many times have you been busted for excesssive force or other violations of SOP? Something ain't right when you are so close to retirement and you are still running the streets. I hope others see you for what you are. Like the Bad BOYS, you must be an action Junkie. Good day.

Ouch,
You hurt me soo.... You talk about dirty cops after you talk about a sheriff fixing a ticket for you...You truely are a piece of work. Not that you deserve a response but I choose to make a difference not be a mouth piece (like you) or sit behind a desk and be an adminstrator. I know I make a difference, you just breath good air that a real human being could use...

I have a low opinion of some leos because of run ins that I have had and like so many things you remember the bad ones or things more so than the pleasant but yes the majority are just everyday good guys. I can only imagen the carp these guys put up with both from the public and supervisors. I like to think that I would not have the attitude that some of them have but then again I don't think that I would ever make it in civil servce.

and CaptnDash - WTF?

Cracker, You can fish with me any time.

I also work for a muni. [ Lineman Super ] I hold the bullet every day.
And have to put up with our customers , some real dirt bags.

As we maintain the electrical system from the Sub to the res./buss. we have to do alot of tree trimming , I have had 35mm cameras, video cameras and GUNS pulled on us.

All over keeping the dumb azz's in electrical power.

I'm a 15 year veteran of the NYPD, rank of Detective investigator in the narcotic borough Brooklyn North. I've been in the narco unit for 3 years and have pretty much done it all. For the 12 years before that I did patrol in the Bronx. Am I an action junkie? No. I just do a job that people like CaptnDash can't or won't do. 5 years to go and I'm still chasing kids 25 years younger than me, and the first through the door on every warrant I do. Never wanted to be a supervisor as it's not my style. CaptnDash - If you ever want to see what I do send me a pm as I can probably arrange a ride along and put my money where my my mouth is - unless you're scared !!
