Default Plumbing question

My basement bathroom has an ejector pump (myers) when it shuts off it does so with a violent bang and shudders the pipe. Never noticed this before and afraid it is going to cause a leak. Any plumbers here? and what can I do to alleviate it.

You must have a check valve problem !
There are horizonal and vertical check valves !
Wrong valve will cause this problem.
Good luck

Thanks for all the input, yes I have a vertical check valve. The check valve is mounted correctly and is my second one in 5 years so I will have a look at it again hoping it is as easy as that. The pump works great it just shudders hard when it shuts off and I never notice that before. I am looking into a torque arrestor but haven't got a clue on how to mount one. Thanks again for the input.
