I don't even remember that one at the box office. No doubt it would be hard to think of him in a serious role. Kinda like casting Linda Lovelance for a big screen version of "The Flying Nun".

I'm wondering why it wasn't a success at the box office - maybe because no one wanted to see Carey in a serious role?
I saw it on the plane. It is a good movie. Carey is good in serious roles, a much better actor. He's not someone that I would watch in his comedy roles. Reference 'The Truman Show', and more recently 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind'... both are excellent flicks!!!
Contrary to popular beleif, Cary can act... It just only happens once in a blue moon because he's so type cast! I thought he was absolutely excellent in The Truman Show..
