Tonight the missus and I were flicking through the new releases on Comcast On Demand to see if anything interested us.

Saw a Jim Carey flick - The Number 23. The synopsis looked good so we went for it and our 17 year old son joined us.

HIGHLY recommend it. Carey did a stupendous job of real acting. It had so many twists and turns but no so many that you lost track.

Great movie.

I'm wondering why it wasn't a success at the box office - maybe because no one wanted to see Carey in a serious role?

Just wished it was in HD.

I don't even remember that one at the box office. No doubt it would be hard to think of him in a serious role. Kinda like casting Linda Lovelance for a big screen version of "The Flying Nun".

I saw it on the plane. It is a good movie. Carey is good in serious roles, a much better actor. He's not someone that I would watch in his comedy roles. Reference 'The Truman Show', and more recently 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind'... both are excellent flicks!!!
