Default Help with tile

Any advice is appreciated. I need to trim 4x4 slate tiles. I will not have may cuts (maybe 6), most will be straight, so I don't want to rent a tile saw or buy a tile saw. I have jigsaws, circular saws, table saw, radial arm, dremel, rotozip and plenty of hand saws. What is the easiest way to cut these? Trimming approx. 1/4"-1/2" off. Thanks.

Jeff: Home Depot will do the cuts. Costs approx. $1 per cut . Just mark the lines and take the tiles in. Dwain

I did slate for out in the yard with a cement blade on my circular saw. Cut nice. I've also had great luck with a 4 inch diamond blade on my little angle grinder.

I did kitchen backsplash tiles with a cement blade on my table saw, worked OK, slow and some sparks from the tile almost caught the existing saw dust on fire.

I ain't lending you my chainsaw seriously though a diamond blade for a circular saw will work fine.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll probably just get a blade and cut (them) my self, I know those "maybe 6" cuts will most likely turn into "maybe 20" and I don't want to keep running back to HD.

Sid, when I need to dig a trench or edge my lawn I'll take you up on the chainsaw loan!

Thanks again.
