Don't panic. It's just a correction.
I read somewhere where someone once said exactly the same thing back in 1929.
I believe today they usually refer to that day as Black Thursday, or Black Tuesday.

I swear every year AAPL dips in August and cranks up b/w now and christmas time.

Just wait until the RIAA puts a smack down on all the college kids downloading illegal music . . . RIAA had a pilot program this past year targeting 30 schools . . . The cost to settle if you're caught is b/w $3500 - $5000. If you have kids in college . . . look out!!

A ipod or iphone with a large plug in flexible color display (accessory). Now that would be a beautiful thing. I hope APPL is working on one

Looking at things this morning I'm glad that second stop was taken out and I decided to stay on the sidelines with that money. Too bad I didn't do that with Research in Motion. I'm out on the sidelines now but ouch. My play money is cut in half. Oh well, there will be opportunities in the future. It's just time to sit and wait right now till it all settles down. I do know I'll be back in AAPL when it all shakes out (and RIMM for that matter too).

If you dollar cost average you'll appreciate this as a great time to get in and buy more shares.

I wonder how many of these little daily corrections it will take before someone looks back and says "Oh chit, it crashed".

That's why I said I'm staying on the sidelines a while The market made a nice recovery today but it still finished down. Back in May I pulled my 401K out on the sideline for the summer slump that never came. I have to wait 90 days to go back in. So August 1st I was able to go back in but I retired and left the money on the sideline waiting for the shoe to fall. All summer I've been kicking myself in the arse about taking it out and missing some really good profits. Well, knowing me, I'd be down there too since the market is 500+ points below where I pulled it out. Not skill...luck. Anyway, I'm going to wait till it all settles down now and then jump back in. And maybe someone WILL be saying "oh chit...it crashed".

OK fellas, pay attention.... Today the feds pumped up the banking system, the market jumped way up, in my opinion a flashy no consequence move, (for many reasons the market goes up and down).

Apple is on a huge up trend so I care not about all these goofy up and down cycles. I am staying 100% with Apple.

timebandit. . . . .DO NOT PANIC. . . . . .Just enjoy the ride.

I’m looking at Cisco thinking it will be a “up-going“ stock soon. I just might make a small play on Cisco sometime.

If you need a reason to stay with apple, just remember that my Apple stock profits bought me a new Toyota Land Cruiser (below) this year.

I invested in Apple stock many years ago, have taken out a ton of bucks and still have my original investment in Apple stock.

Apple computers suck. I have used two of them. Both sucked.
Maybe they are not suited for your task. I was a windows guy for a very long time but started buying Mac products because I like Final Cut (video editing software). Ended up getting rid of all my windows machines and now have 4 macs (2 laptops and 2 desktop) with the oldest being 5 years of age. Not even a blink of a problem with any of them. We edit HD video and ask the computers to process a ridiculous amount of information and work them hard everyday..never a glitch. The only problem I ever had was when my old powerbook fell out of my car onto the parking lot. All I had to do was restart it and it took a good hit to the corner. Perhaps you had a lemon.

Maybe you guru's can help me. I took my small play fund (not my retiement fund) and bought some stocks like PG-N. Basically old companies that produced things you have to have like food, toilet paper, soap etc... They have done preety well over the last few years. Is there a fund that specializes in products that you must buy regardless of income?
