Default Driving Sunglasses - Maui Jim's and Costa Del Mar's

I currently have a pair of CDM Harpoon's Blue Mirror sunglasses. I really like them for the boat however I think they are a tad too dark for daily driving. Could anyone suggest a similar type frame from MJ or even Ocean Waves that would work well for driving?

Thanks!!!!

CDM Brine's with blue mirror glass have been my overall sunglasses for the past 2 years or so. I love them!

Typically I don't like boating glasses for driving because the polarization tends to distort certain windshields. I'd go with a pair made for driving (non polarized) like Serengetti or Ray Ban for that matter.

If you need a prescription, you might want to seek out a newer lens called "Drive Ware". It is polarized and changed degrees of darkness like transitions only darker and will change inside your car, you can also read the beer can labels inside of the marina store or wally world with out removing them. I just bought my wife a pair with her prescription for she has sensitive eyes and we were out fishing the other day and she said they were great in the Florida Sun. They have a web site, might want to check them out. I had hers put in Costa Frames, not cheap.

Serengetti is my daily wear. I prefer them over anything else. I hate my MJ's and should sell them. Look soon on the TD

Green mirror is better for driving. However, there is a thread going in the sportfishing section that list a ton of complaints with Costas, mine included.....two bad pairs. I'll try Ocean Waves next time.

Maui Jims, I get them at Costco. They are bullet proof.

Thank's for the replies - I went with a pair of Maui Jim Lagoons, seem to be right! Clear as a bell, not as dark as the CDM's and fit my large mellon well.
