Knucklehead tries to break in to a 79 year old guy's house here in Hickory. Guy sends his wife next door.

Guy confronts burglar w/ his .22, fires warning shot into ceiling. Shot ricochets off ceiling and lodges in burglar's forehead. Gotta love it. "Sometimes bad things happen to bad people."

Funniest thing was the quote from the old man. He said...

“I wasn’t aiming for him. I’ve handled guns since I was 12, and (I) was a sharpshooter in the Army. If I wanted to hit him, I would have. If he’d moved, the next shot would have stopped him,” Cook said. “I stood to the side of him until the police got there.”
