We're getting close to the end of the evaluation phase of this project and today I am taking an engineer out to look over the cast iron panels and concrete cores.

Wow, that is a great story! I love light houses and all the history they have. If walls could talk...please keep us updated on this thread, would love to follow the restoration stages and the final outcome. "Babe magnet", not too sure about that, maybe if he had a swim up tiki bar attached...LOL

Took the engineer out yesterdayand he felt comfortable with the concept of what we want to do. The tower will need an inner frame to support the floors and some of the cast iron panels need to be replaced, but I already knew that. Let the fun begin!
