Went to The Police concert in New Orleans last night. What a great show! Sting is the man! They played all the hits and rocked the house!

Sting's son's band, Fiction Plane, was the opening act. Yikes, they were terrible.

I've been a fan of Sting ALWAYS~! LOVE his music both with the Police and solo. Wow......what a composer/singer. SIGH......

As far as his son's band.....well, even though they might not have been that great - it was really nice of Dad to give them a chance. Can't get any better if you don't practice and ya gotta start SOMEWHERE.

They played about 21 songs, and the best part, they looked like they were having a blast, especially Sting.

I saw them at Shea Stadium in 1985 or 1986 I think? Listening to them this morning in the car too: Hole in My Life, Bring on the Night, Roxanne.... Man... they just rock.

OH yeah!!!!!!!!! Went to Bonnaroo one night only to see The Police in concert. It was well worth it. They ROCK!!!! And OMG is Sting still sooooooooooooooooooooooooo hot. Well, you guys might not think it but FJ will

Check this out - last summer in our town, a really wealthy guy that has a mansion on the beachfront right next to our town beach threw a party. It was a private party to celebrate his 40th birthday, and at the same time a private fundraiser. The fundraiser had something to do with a big name music producer that this guy is friends with. Sting is also affiliated with this particular charity. So Sting agrees to play this guy's 40th! They set up a big stage facing the beach - they could have easily faced it away from the beach - but they didn't. The sound check happened that afternoon - rumors had been flying that it would be Springsteen, Counting Crows, etc., but sure enough, Sting comes out for the sound check. Well, as you can imagine, that evening around 8pm the public beach was packed, and the private party's lawn was full. And then Sting came on (not the Police, just Sting and band), and proceeded to play for about 1 1/2 hours - every song you can think of. We watched the whole thing from about 100 yds off the beach on the boat.

It was pretty cool. Our own "private" Sting concert. Nothing like that EVER happens around here...just a little beach town...

During the show, Sting gets on the mic and says, "I've gotta tell you, I can't remember the last time I played a party in someone's back yard"!
