You know why.. he bombed on the Wonderlic test, scoring an "8" out of 100, a truly terrible score.
This, of course, prove that:
A) Leak is stupid
B) Joakim Noah is stupid
C) The University of Florida is a second-rate institution
D) Ohio State University is a better school and all the athletes are geniuses...
Including Odin who's only there because the NBA has a rule requiring players to have at least one year in the NCAA before they can play pro hoops. He's one serious student all right.
The best part of this whole thread...Go back and read it... Not ONCE have I said that I am an OSU fan. Not once have I said where I went to school.
Here's the kicker... I said Congrats, but added a comment regarding the speaking skills of the team / Noah, which I and others agree, was not the kind of representation I expect from athletes or others of MY SCHOOL...yes, MY SCHOOL (U o f F '87). I let you all go on and on...it is a shame that the majority of you are too ignorant to see past the t-shirt to realize how pathethic you look and sound like. Talk about classless, go read the thread again. I doubt OSU is "loserville"...they have been there a hell of alot more than us through the course of history. Frankly, I tip my cap to them as we will always be linked in history. Win, lose or draw, it pretty cool to have two schools meet for both championships.
Oden a loser??? what the hell are/were you doing at 18??? He HAS to go for 1 year due to the NBA using the NCAA as a farm system for their own capitalization. If not for this rule, who the hell would watch the draft??? (another opportunity to capitalize off these kids). And, yes...Oden recieving credit for "The Final Four Experience" (true story)...is BS. It isn't his fault...it's the NCAA's for approving such garbage. Look at Chris Leak...well spoken, but an embarrasment to attend an University and only score an 8...an 8. it is not like these tests are sprung on these guys...they all get them. Where's the preparation from the University, Athletic Dept, Coach, Educators, etc????

Yes...it is embarassing.
U of F '87 (and not wearing t-shirts)
No you just make judgments on other people's intellect just because they may sound ghetto. You like to make blanket statements that you can tell who is getting the better education based on someone's speech. Then again, most athletes are selected to go to college on their physical abilities not their intellect. I guess you were a road scholar when you were in school....

Did I say that???? Based off the interviews, I would say the OSU players were better at clearly addressing questions and putting together logical, coherent sentences. THAT IS A FACT. Questioning which school is better is not the issue...the school is only as good as the students it turns out.
Now addressing the better school: Using the US World report ranking, which someone in this post used, the separation of 47th ranked and 57th ranked is splitting hairs...plus there are "ties" listed so, there are only three spots separating the two UNDERGRADUATE schools. Go back and look at all the post graduate schools...all of them have OSU rank higher. And, if you look close, (using Med Schools as an example, the ENTIRE Big 10 is listed...before Florida. At least Florida made the list, with Vanderbilt...as the only SE conference schools).
Next you'll tell me yesterday was warmer than the same date last year, so global warming is true...
If stating fact...get all your facts in line and tell the whole story. This isn't about the Universities (unless they only care about their athletic talent..if so, I will really upset some people), it's about the representation of the universities by their athletes... Noah and others were an embarassment and could have conducted themselves like Champions and represented themselves and the University with a little more class. THAT is what I'm saying.

So, what does this prove...NADA... We are not discussing the better University, but if we were, ALL of OSU's grad programs are ranked higher...
We are discussing REPRESENTATION, not winning, not being Champions...which we are...but representing the school and Noah fell short. Unless the most important thing to you regarding your University is the Sports Championships...if so, I guess that "Roads Scholarship" didn't really madda much, now do it, kuz..
It's all academic guys (pun intended). Maybe we can all just savor a great victory? This kind of thing doesn't happen very often and we shouldn't feel the need to dissect every little aspect of it under a microscope.
Whether Noah is a good spokesman or not, he helped win us two NCAA basketball championships and will soon be making more money than all of us on this thread combined, probably. He doesn't give a damn what we think and neither will history.
I was actually poking fun at you with that...guess it went over ur head....
Poking fun at me??? First of all, I am the one that knows the correct spelling of Rhodes, secondly, yes, I was a canidate...so how is it poking fun at me? Seems to me you're playing the "I know you are, but what am I" crap my kids play. But thanks for noticing.
