Man sorry for the accident.

My wife has owned several Volvos starting with a 1990 240 wagon, a couple 240 sedans, and finally an 850. I had a connection on parts shortcutted on my home PC, may be gone now. I'll try to remember or google up the name if I can think of it.

So what time a day is the "room mate" gonna get a mud hole stomped in his butt?

ah man that's a drag!

What year Volvo, what model?

So what do you need? Hood, a pair of fenders, grill, rad saddle, possible headlight pods?....how's the bumper, is it
reusable? Does the car have A/C? How's the rad, is that an electric fan or is it a clutch fan? Why are you thinking
in terms of OEM parts? What's the matter with used or aftermarket parts?

Have you got the car in for an estimate yet? Do you know what parts you need? Either way, you put together some
prices on parts and I'll see if it's worth it for me to buy them up here and ship them down.....I've got a few new
aftermarket connections left from my bodyshop days.

thnks guys, I have a friend who is e-mailing me the VADIS part program so I can look at parts

rad is fine no leaking fluid, I just started it and it starts up and then comes down to idle and dies, I think because the air bags are deployed

needs a lot off work, I'm going to try to get it over to a friends house and pull it off

bumper is fine, it has 130k and runs like a champ

I trying to find one around here in fl that got rear ended, I can easily put it back together

I'm justbummed and have missed 2 days of school, and if I miss one more they drop me which I do not need!

Shoot me a PM with your VIN and maybe post some more LF corner/RF corner photos. I'll tell you right off the bat don't be surprised if your estimate is over $6000.00 just with what I can see right there. I can write an estimate for you but I need better photos.

My opinion, it just doesn't make sense to repair your car. Here is a quick estimate listing OEM parts pricing. Figure a 30% savings using aftermarket. Gardner (800-321-6398) had three parts only, LKQ (salvage/junk yard) both fenders (125.00 and a passenger h-lamp assy(150.00) wholesale pricing. NADA book value is about 5k-6k for your car. Found three within 300 miles on Autotrader, average price was $5400.00. If you could find an entire front section at a yard my guess would be around 2k-3k for that front section. Those $200.00 airbags should bolt right in...but to rearm the SRS you have to pay about another $100.00 for someone to hook a computer up to it...it also might not reset if your seatbelt pretensioners need replacing (as the SRS matrix calls for them to be replaced...) or other SRS components, all are high dollar. SRS matrix fro your vehicle calls for steering wheel replacement too. I stopped my estimate at $9482.00. I could go on and on but it's late and I got a bodyshop to closeup. Please take my advise and just buy another car. In the long run it just isn't worth it.

Here's three within 300 miles of Orlando, FL.

And don't let friends drive your cars...(unless they are listed as a secondary driver on "your" ins policy)

Ludicrous, Now I've been out the business for a long time now, well before airbags were vogue. But why does he even
need to fix the airbag system? Oh I understand the personal safety thing, but he's driving a Volvo! My first Volvo was a
142 mph 67 123 GT so I know a few things about them. JUSTINTIME, since you are a college brat why don't you forgo
the expense and work to the airbags?

I sure hope your friend is footing the bill!

He doesn't need to fix them. It's his car and he can do anything he wants to it. But let's say he doesn't, takes a young friend for a ride and gets involved in another collision. If that passenger gets injured I know about 1.1 million lawyers that would love to represent that person. Insurance companies will not use salvage yard SRS system components for fear of huge lawsuits. Most collision repair shops will not touch the car unless you also fix the SRS.
