Default N.O. Saints - Thanks

I'm watching all of the pre-game hoopla; scanning the networks to see who says what.

I keep hearing this stuff about the Saints being a team of destiny.

I have to disagree. The Saints have been a team of dismay for so many years, that their current heightened status can easily be attributed, especially in the wake of the story of Hurricane Katrina, to destiny.

The New Orleans Saints are where they are because they are a good football team. Not because of a hurricane.

Certainly, all of us here in the Gulf South, and especially the folks in New Orleans, can use the good feeling that the Saints are bringing. We are enjoying the run, no matter where it may end, we are enjoying the run.

It cannot be ignored that this good run has come at a time when so many need it, but it is not simple destiny. It was built, from literal desolation and despair, with vision, commitment and hard work. That's the real story here, and it transcends football because of the recent history involved, not because of any destiny.

Thanks Saints.

It's even hard for a "hater" like myself to dislike the Saints. That said, so far their azzes are tighter than a new republican page boys' at the post SOtU party.

Yer right Drylee.

I think they need to play every series as if they only had 2 minutes to score.

Say, at the risk of serious derailment - you just confessed to knowing the tightness of a pageboys rectum.

Not a chance, the supposition was based solely on knowledge of republican congressmen and some of their proclivities

I still say "Thanks Saints".

It was a good run. The Bears are a good team, and they played well today.

There is alot to work with in the Saints; next season has more promise than any before.

Bears D was excellent. Rex still does not impress me. Saints went places no one around here dared dream. Now I am pulling for he colts and manning. Conragts to da bears as the earned their spot

Oh well, it was a fun trip anyway. You can't be down on the Saints. This was their best season EVER. They were one of the top 4 teams in the NFL and we didn't even know if they were coming back to New Orleans about a year ago. The Bears played a good game and the Saints didn't accomplish their goals of rushing Grossman, not turning the ball over and establishing a running game.

I'm ready for next year already!
