Default Heavy Duty Kettle

I have been looking at local stores and tag sales for a cast iron (preferrable) or otherwise heavy duty kettle/pot to hang from a tripod over a campfire to cook lobsters clams or whatever or brew homemade concoctions. I have seen 6 to 10 quart things but would like at least 5 gallons or the size of a turkey fryer..... Any suggestions..??

Try www.BBQboys.com
I just googled it up and they have them from 1 egg to Baptist missionary size.
I do right much cooking for the gang and use cast iron when I can. Can't beat it. The Lodge site has some neat stuff also, especially for outdoor cooking.

When do we eat???

Do an online search for a Potjie pot. It's cast iron, has a rounded bottom (better for cooking stews etc.) and has feet to elevate it so you can just stick it in the coals. They come in a lot of sizes up to about 50 gallon. My dad is a longtime Scoutmaster and is a veteran of outdoor cooking and he loves it. He has a 3-4 gallon one.

I got a 20 gallon round bottom three legged pot for my brother for Christmas from Agri Supply. They have huge pots up to about 90 gallons that would be about right for several missionaries as well as smaller pots about the size you want.
