This may be the neatest "stock" car I've driven stock in a long time. it is blindingly fast with no lag - 300 hp that is there right off the line....if you're waiting for one of these, you'll love it, if not go drive one just for grins....email me if you want me to pave the way for demo drive and you're serious...
Either way, be prepared to pay the guzzler tax!!!!
I drove a S4......talk about fun!! There is no substitution for V8 torque--that thing would pin you back in the seat, and just keep on going to about 8000 RPM. The RS4 has to be an absolute animal....
I live about 15 minutes from the BMW plant. You see 3-series and Z-4's all over the place around here. I do admit I get a woody every time I pull up beside a M3. Just something about that car that makes me smile every time I see one.

Glen,
I have no interest in purchasing one; but I very seriously would love the demo drive
That is a sweet unit. Is this a 'perk', or did you buy one for yourself?

It looks like a very nice car Glen. I have been tempted to buy a sportcar but can not get over the fact I simply do not enjoy riding in anything smaller than a full sized pickup truck or SUV.
FWIW - it looks like you had Cheech and Chong in the car.

Tireless,
Same here. It was all I could do NOT to buy a Lightning, Vyper, or SS truck when I made my recent purchase. Just not enough towing cap.

What is a typical sticker on the 335 moderately equipped, no I-drive/nav (if that is possible)? I assume it will be a while before they are available without a pre-order, off the lot?
That is one of the nicest looking BMWs currently, no Bangle butt.
Glen, you didn't happen to be at the Grove Park in Asheville this past week did you? They had a passle of BMW's and were letting people test drive them. The people I talked to said there was absolutely no sales pitch afterwards. Just showing off the wares I guess.

That car is awesome!!!! How does it compare to the M3? What is the price range on them? Do they have any plans for a convertible? I'm so wishy washy with cars right now, I can't decide whether to go with an SUV, truck, or small sedan/couple sporty car like this.
GWCPA: I would think most of the non I-drive models end up around the mid 40's, but you can go on their website and build one to find out specifics.
There have been a lot of articles about the 335 couple and I have seen one on the sedan as well. They clocked the sedan at 4.8 seconds to sixty, these things are like mini M5's.

this car stickers at 47K with no i-drive but everything else - the dealers are not getting "extra" money over sticker as we are supplying them a lot so they cannot say they are in short supply - feels just like an M3 except wider powerband...yes, we just had a ride and drive down here and a few THT'ers showed up...
How many recalls did they have fresh out of the factory? Oh I mean "bulletins"
There has been one "bulletin" and it's a doozy - you caught me....apparently a few cars were shipped without the Bluetooth pairing pamphlet and the dealer is asked to insert it in the glovebox before delivery.....
