Default Crevalle 24 Build

Ihave finally caught a break at work to focus on more important things, like thefact that my new Crevalle 24 Bay will be ready for pickup next week!

Here'sa short build, with a couple photos I got from the factory last week. Lookslike they are adding the final touches this week, and on to the dealer to addall the fun stuff.

Summaryof My New Toy/Child:

Crevalle24 Bay with Merc 300 Verado
SeamistBlue Hullside and T-top Underside, White Bottom
Blackmotor (wish I would have gone white though)
Stormcloudgrey dash and interior cushions
Tabs,Jack Plate, Trolling Motor Pre-rig, Underwater Lights
LEDblue/white lighting throughout (this is standard now)
FrontCushion Package
NewCrevalle Logo Helm Pad (Nick hooked me up after seeing it at the Mobile boatshow)

Electronics:
SimradNSS12 EVO 2 with TotalScan
VHF,Go-Free, and External GPS Antenna
JLSystem with 2xM650, 2xM880, and an M10 sub, powered with their 700/5 amp
White10’ Blade PP

Ialso got Chris at Castaway Customs to make me some custom SeaDek padded fishrulers to double as cockpit bolsters.

Ihad a chance to talk with Nick a good bit at the Mobile Boat Show and found outthat Mercury is testing a few new props (new EcoPlus and a 4-Blade) on minebefore they ship it. Very interested to see the numbers from that. I’ll postthem once I get them.

Finallythe good part, pictures!

Sea trial got pushed back to tomorrow because Mercury wanted to test a couple props with the 300 Verado on the 24.

Speaking of that, they sent me some numbers that should be published later on, but it boiled down to 56mph WOT touching the rev limit, and 34mph cruise at 4000rpm and 3.0mpg. They decided on the ECO 18 pitch. Anybody have any thoughts on these numbers? Performance numbers of the 26 with a 300?

I'll see how I like the handling and everything tomorrow and decide if I want to stay with the ECO prop or not.

What is the gear ratio and what is the rpm at the limiter? Curious to know the slip. 56 with a top and a 300 on that size boat doesn't sound bad at all.

We ran it yesterday and with a full tank and 3 big guys it was off the limiter, topped out at 56 turning right around 6300. Definitely propped right with the ECO 18. Also got way better cruise mpg than the report, I was getting 3.4mpg at 36 turning a little over 4000.

Love the color as well although I could be biased since my 26 is the same color
