Well, here I was about to give some medicinal help to a friend with acid reflux, but no, not that kind of gas I suppose.

I think that other people may have better advice for you, but old fuel that you have no idea where it originated can be dangerous to engine! You should pump the fuel out in my opinion. Perhaps you can have it filtered and put back into your tank, but you should consider what could happen in 2 years!
All sorts of debris may be in there, and think of what water in your fuel could do to steel tanks! I assume that the person you bought it from didn't crank it in quite a while so you may want to clear that tank out and see what you are working with before you try to just burn it all up. You could have rust, or even worse: holes in your tank! It's unlikely, but it's better safe than sorry.
I'd say do some digging and check out all your fittings and hoses to make sure everything is clear. With any used boat it's not a bad idea to give it a good check though to make sure all your parts are functioning like you intend them to because it's no fun calling someone to come tow you back home when you could have easily avoided the problem with a quick visual inspection. Hope this helps!
