Pier Pressure--Fishing for Food At Buckroe Fishing Pier
I got up early as always (around 0430), I tend to get more done that time of day. Had another pretty morning sunrise and I was wishing I had time for a fishing trip. I decided to head to the Buckroe Fishing Pier in Hampton Va. for the Fishing for Food Foodraiser. I met some very enthusiastic Hampton Parks and Recreation ladies. They do a great job at the pier, it is the nicest and cleanest fishing pier I have been on.
Saw Matt of Bass Pro, Don Lancaster of Fishing Tidewater and Mark of Virginia Coastal Access Now. They were all helping out and offering tips on Pier and Surf Fishing.
I am sure this was a successful and fun event, I was only there for a couple hours. For those interested Buckroe Pier is having a Striper Tournament on December 11-13th with some great prizes. For info call (757)727-1486.
I had a fun morning. Tomorrow I will be fishing at CBBT. Here are some pics from today.

It took them long enough to rebuild it but from the pictures it looks good. The whole time I lived on Rogers, just blocks from Buckroe Beach it was always under construction. But they built up the entire area and from my latest visit to Hampton they are knocking down more row houses to attract more tourists. How close was that boat from Poquoson to the pier? I thought it was a restricted area all around there on account of the unexploded ordinance still under the water there.
