Default Inian River bay to Little Assawoman bay

I heard they were working on dredging the channel between the Indian River bay and the Little Assawoman bay? Does anyone know if this navigatable yet? I have a 20ft Key West WA with a 150 yamaha

Thanks,
Mark

From what I have read the channel depth will be 3ft and it's supposed to be done by the end of the summer. Then again, they said that two summers ago. I don't know what the bridge clearances are...but I can believe they will be low as the previous poster mentioned. I am interested to hear how people fare on it...would be a nice canal to be able to use for smaller boats heading to OCMD.

Lots and lots of stumps...

I'll just trailer or run up the beach it's only about 20 miles. I'm not a brave, explorer, discovery channel captain like you guys. :-)

only live once, might as well go for it.

i'll wait to hear from others how it turns out. hopefully they do a decent enough job with the dredge to get most of the crap out of there, but i agree. its probably going to be pretty sporty for anyone except kayakers.

When the project was started, it was recognized pretty early that only canoes and kayaks would use the waterway.
