Lost a big one on a 17 Tony, was hooked well enough to pull drag a few times then it came unhooked. Stayed with the Fin-S-Fish, worked great in the grass, had a few blow ups then finally hooked that one. You can see it hanging out of his mouth.

Port? Do you mean Port Deposit or near marinas and ramps?
The rock are finishing the spawn and will be heading south, back down the bay, in waves. Some resident fish will still be here. They like it anywhere the bait is, grass, rocks etc...

Yes, Port Deposit. I was out today and caught two on herring near a turn off were you can park on the side of the road. Both were small but decent catch 10 and 14 lbs. I caught the herring on shad darts. Then put them on a circle hook and casted them out and reeled them in worked well. I fished for about 4 hours. Also caught a walleye.

I had my largest by far ever hooked up on a Tony 17 2 weekends ago.....
It took off and almost spooled me, had my son throw it in reverse to try and keep up with it but we were geting close to some anchored boats, I was able to slow her for a bit then when turned to take off again, came unbuttoned.....

Was great fun,I was happy with my knot as well.....

Fishing was slow today for rockfish in port deposite. Around high tide which was 2pm we caught 8 decent sized catfish on cut bait. We held bottom with 4 oz egg. Winds were very guesty but the fishing seemed to turn on when it got windy. Fishing Slowed down a lot around 7pm and we left.
