Default Insuring Homemade Boat

Any advice on how to go about insuring a aluminum bay boat I am building? It's time to get this done!

I made one and first had to take it to the game & fish for inspection and hull id# and then had to have it inspected by a licensed marine surveyor before I could get it insured. Not a big deal, just trouble.

Call Charter Lakes. They insured my home built in my sig.
I documented the complete build with pics showing construction methods, wiring, tank install.
No problems. I guess each state has requirements for getting it registered. Here you just fill out a form and send it in. They send you a title and registration numbers. For all the state knows it's a cardboard box.

I'll be happy to look at it for you. Please go to www.charterlakes.com, fill out the quote form, and select the agent closest to your area. Sorry for the late reply. There are stretches of time when we don't see this forum. We will be happy to assist you!

Default Charter Lakes hands down beat my StateFarm policy

I just finished receiving my insurance quote for my 302 Scarab, Twin Etec 250, and 35 ft Trailer. I am very pleased with Brice at Charter Lakes Insurance.

Highly recommend Brice Fuselier (Charter Lakes)
