Default Smith Mountain Lake Public Ramps

There's not really a regional group for VA except the Chesapeake regional group...so I think I'll have better luck here.

Anyway, heading up to SML tonight and plan to put in at Scruggs off of 616 on 601. What are the rules with parking there? Is there a time limit, and does the car have to be attached? I'd like to leave the trailer there since I will spend the weekend at a lakehouse down the road.

Thanks,
Jeremy

not a lot of room for long term parking, but I can't see anybody knowing exactly what your doing. you could try penhook, they have more room.

I did leave the truck and trailer there for 2 nights and had no problem. There was a "no overnight mooring" sign, so I figured overnight parking was okay.

We didn't fish. I gave plenty of sightseeing tours. Any time on the water is good with me though...
