Don't put in in IOP. Aside from the $10 cover, you'll end up dunking your trucks ass end in saltwater to get your boat free.

Put in at Remley's, or avoid the current and go to Shem Creek early. Stop by Red's for a beer on the way in, and your day is complete.

I heard that as well, but if you check out http://www.ownthelanding.com/content...12265&id=55433 , it looks like they are planning on keeping it.

Seems dumb to mess that up..it's a popular place.

btw..fishing dynamite hole or the grillage is no fun. you use huge stuff, 8 oz weights, 40 lb test, loose anchors and you have to horse them. there are 10000 places more scenic, fish a bit smaller , but more of them, and you don't just sit there, le mail me your ph an we can chat. if ya want, got a baby screaming, later

Back, yes, lets talk, I am going to take a job offer as a broker for a great co down there. Salary!!!! So Century is for sale, I already got a buyer, I am just waiting, he own 1/2 already. Makes it easy (big truck and nice boat went first when baby came) But If you are going with friends and WANT to catch fish for sur there are certain techniques. Charleston for example, with the never ending varieties of baitfish and Especially with 6' tides, means the fish always move, I got a few ACE's but, for the moast part Charleston harbor and the estuaries takes reading water VERY well. Since the trout and bass use "feeding paths that change as the alluvial soil does, poquee it changes the eddies etc. But that is why its so much fun. I think fly fisherman who are good waders and can read rivers have much better luck in the marsh and/or tidal creaks. That is where the fun is, you can feel like you are in the middle of nowhere in a 10 minute ride if you know the water and can get across huge oyster flats etc, without having to spend the night (yep got that shirt). So, in a nutshell, Charleston is my favorite from IOP to Seabrook I love it But, ya aint going to go out into the sand and throw a frozen squid and catch much more than a shark or a lovely Whiting, the local favorite. My favorite dish without question is the Crispy Flounder at Garibaldies, you have to call ahead I think the friar can only do 4 at a time but its diamond cut and honestly, the greatest $20 you will ever spend ON FOOD. Any one been there who can give me an "a'men" to this tasy, apricote glazed delicacy? any way, I will help you have a rewarding time. After all thaks for keeping us able to fish. Fight hard, you will be home soon my man!!
