Default FIreworks on Hartwell??

I'm renting a lakehouse near Portman's marina next week..was wondering where is the best place to go see fireworks on the lake is? Is it better to skip that and do it on land?

Also..any must do/must see places? Great restaurants? Places to avoid on Hartwell? I only know the Six Mile area and Y beach at Clemson..the rest of Hartwell is a foreign country. What's biting in the lake? Help, locals!

The fireworks at the dam were last weekend.

Clemson will do theirs Monday night. Go by boat, when they are over just sit there for a 1/2 to 1 hour and let all the idiots blast back up the lake before you pull anchor. (be WAY out of the channel!!!)

Charlie T's on 26 Mile for burgers, hot wings and cold beer.

At Portman there are two good restaurants, the Galley (seafood and steaks I like the Prime Rib) and Nami's (sushi bar I like the Samari Roll!!)

Go to around S-90. Believe me you will see the mass of boats at anchor or drifting. Portman is at S-28. It is about a 14 mile run with 3 bridges, so it will take about 45 min.

Have fun, if you need anything else let me know.

Just back from Namis, had the Buckwheat salad, Samari Roll, and Tuna Sashimi.

The Tuna was blood red tonight, best I have had there.

IT ROCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.!!!!!!!!!!

Also I forgot to tell you, they have a great Margarita, they will ask what kind you want, I never can remember so I tell them to mix what they like.
