I did hear it may have been put out by a dive group -- old barge with steel framing sprayed with concrete -- not sure where -- anyone have any news?

I don't think that vessel photo in the "Capt. Greg" article is the same one. I think C pirate is talking about an old barge located on the ICWW in Little River, SC in front of Crystal Coast Marine and the old River Boat restaurant. Last week they were spraying concrete on the yellow mesh to create permanant structure for marine life. The process looks pretty cool. If I hear anything new, I'll post.

check the scdnr site for the latest info as all reefs fall under dnr for location and type of structure.

SmokinBlues -- thats the one I saw in the ICW at Little River -- heard they sunk it last week - not sure where -- haven't seen anything on dnr site yet -- maybe info will be posted in the future.
