Anyone have the distance by the ICW from Southport to Swansboro? I'm guessing around 80 miles. That sound close?

a tournament boat I assume. at 40 mph it takes about 2+ hours so your guess is probably close

you also might want to consider the boat traffic with the holiday weekend. we've made that run during the tourney the past two years and its taken us around 3 hrs. of course 30 minutes was spent looking at eye candy at wrightsville bridge, and then there was that one coast guard stop, a whole different story. the first year we went out of the river channel 20 + miles, caught a fish at 1:30 and still missed weigh in my 5 minutes. that was a depressing ride back. anyways good luck to you and we'll be down that way too.
