Default Any Cobia Reports Around Hatteras

I know they are pretty hot at Cape Lookout. Stands to reason they would be at Hatteras as well. Thinking about going down this weekend. If the seas are too high for Mahi, Cobia would be a nice alternative.

Oh Yeah... we will have a blast and catch some fish. I would much rather fish the blue water but if its too rough for my little 23 footer, we will try the cobia nearshore.

Offshore Forecast looks OK but I promise, they will change it one way or the other:

SAT
SW WINDS DECREASING TO 10 TO 15 KT...THEN SHIFTING TO NE
15 KT W OF 1000 FMS LATE. SEAS 3 TO 5 FT.

SUN
W OF 1000 FMS...NE WINDS 15 KT. E OF 1000 FMS...S WINDS
15 KT. SEAS 3 TO 5 FT THROUGHOUT.

Thats weird how they expect the winds to change directions around the 1000 line.

Looks like NE winds for us.

There has been a guy fishing around us all spring in a green Trophy WA with twin mercs. I see him all the time. He has a nice looking boat.

There is also a guy that leaves his Grady WA there, named "Jinny Lind". Nice guys. I would like to find out who these two are.

The guys in the Grady helped me out last time while we were running from storms. They gave us a radar sweep and the HI fleet was no help at all. A couple were jerks when I asked them for a heading on the storm. Radar will be my next toy.

Lets stay in touch Robert.

We're going to do what the weather allows. We're docked at Teach's Lair (29' Seaswirl) and like everyone else, second-guessing the updated forecast. Where do you put in?

This is a good reason why Bailey started the Carolina's Directory, so we can contact each other "live."

I have used the list 6 or 10 times already.

Y'all have fun and be safe!!!! More boat traffic this weekend for sure.
