Want to take my 13 year old son Striper Fishing at Gaston Lake. Anyone got any good advise. Never been striper fishing. Got some storm lures............what's best to use this time of year and what depths should I fish?

Thanks for any suggestions........................I hears around the dam is a good place to troll.

From what I have heard you may rather try Kerr instead of Gaston.

rdsrb5, Hot Spot and I trolled EVERYWHERE up there about a month or so ago and didn't even getta sniff! We pulled mainly bucktails with grubs and worms for trailors. I would try the dam, but if nothing goes.....then its like what dirtyoldsailor said, you'd be better off trying Buggs up around Satterwhite.

Like dirtyoldsailor said, go to Buggs Island instead. You will GREATLY increase your chances.
