Can't remember the name but a guy in Wendell, around the corner from Perry's is a good gunsmith. His building is cinderblock painted camoflauge(sp?)

Why are you rebarreling? Wear the rifeling out from too many rounds? Still have that DL 366, do you use it?

chip, one of the best I have found is Tim Carrick. He is south of Lexington in Southmont, just across High Rock Lake. It's probably 2 hours from you but it may be worth the drive.

Hey Bo, I figured you would know somebody.

Mike, the gun has a 22 inch light barrel and I have a big 3x9 scope on it. It just looks ungainly. Also, the 270 is my long range gun and the 22 inch barrel just doesn't seem appropriate. I have a hard time shooting that gun compared to my others and I'm hoping a long heavy barrel will be a little steadier. Plus recoil is an issue for me. I can shoot my 45-70 better than the 270, and that ain't right. I oughta swipe your 257 while your gone. Is Celeste still at your house?

Regarding the reloader- I haven't set up any of them. They are in the attic. Want any? chip.

Chip, I feel for ya on the 270, I've owned 5 of them over the years and I just can't bring myself to admit that their recoil is beyond my comfort level. As I've always said about the 270, "it kills in front, and cripples behind"....... signed: Bigpuss Wimp..........

Celeste is there and you're welcome to use the 257. I think the ammo is in the garage. I might get home about 8 May. What are you doing that time of year? John wants to go tuna fishing and I'm trying to have somebody check the boat out before I get home. Any way come to Norfolk and go fishing and get the Roberts!

Swiping is no fun when you have permission. I'll just get my gun rebarelled. If I can get up there I'd love to go out on your boat with you. I still haven't seen it. Bring back some good lures from those geisha houses. chip.
