I'll be lookin' for that unique Carolina skiff of yours. My Jones bros. has a poling platform on it AKA "sandwich station" I can attest to its usefullness for makin' lunch as for the polin' part well.....

We'll be down there as well on Jerry's boat. We'll mainly be on 18. Boat name is YELLOWFIN, it is a yellow hulled Hatteras express. Give us a shout if you see us in te basin. Hopefully we'll be on our way out or in but the weather might not work for us!!

Be safe and have a great holiday everybody.

We got out Friday, Saturday and Saturday night. Friday we did really good on some nice size whiting. Kept about 8 in the 1lb +/- range. Tons of 11inch trout, Sharks, Blue fish, Seabass, and small croackers, one small spot, and some really slimy catfish looking things that i can't remember the name of. On Saturday we had a little tougher time finding fish. But put one HUGE Whiting/sea mullet in the boat and only got about 6 or seven more eating size ones. Besides that we caught alot more sharks on saturday and the usuall small trash. Saturday night 2 mullet, 8 sharks, and a small sea bass. Sunday 3 guys went out of our marina to AR 315 and got 3 Nice flounder in the 4lb-6lb range. Next time I'll be down I'll be down for 10 days or so, May 3 or 4th till about the 13th. Hoping the Cobia so up by then. We dodn't have a radio on the boat, Hand held won't charge, so thats the next project for the skiff.

That would explain why I coundn't get you on the radio LOL
We fished in the turnig basin on fri. and sat. and caught a ton of 10 1/2" to 11 3/4" gray trout and only managed 6 keepers with largest at 15" .
On sat. we went back to the same place roughly and caught the same small ones as fri. but we kept 14 grays with the largest at 15 1/2" . Also caught one shark. For a while I thought I had the mother of all trout
Anyway a good time was had by all and some fine fresh trout dinners to boot. Although I did have to supplement fridays fresh trout with some dolphin from the fridge .
