If y'all start a group and have meeting please let know. I don't have a boat but I've been bass fishing for 7-8 years and the salt water is calling my name. Would love to learn from so guys that knew what they were doing. I'm in kannapolis so I can get to lake Norman in no time.

I'm in Hickory,.. not too far from you Charlotte folks. I'd love to meet up with a bunch of like minded, landlocked salt water anglers.

Hi guys. I am in Kannapolis. We keep our boat here as well and fish the Morehead City/Swansboro area. Would ve fun to meet up with some guys. We usually run the boat at norman but with the water so low at the end of the year we couldnt get out boat in the water around here.

Mt Island is the water supply for city of Charlotte. They keep the water level in it pretty stable for this reason. Live on norman and it is definitely low but I have no problems launching in Mt Island at neck rd access. Check it out, it's maybe 10 minutes from blythe landing.

Wylie is up to a reasonable level now. I haven't had time to make it to the coast in awhile and ran the boat today. I had no problems launching at Wylie, I'm assuming Norman couldn't be any worse.
