Planning on tuna fishing the end of May. I have my tuna permit. Do I also need a NC Saltwater license as well?

Yes you do. They will be inforceing the SW license this year. Its cheap, not worth the risk..

You do not need a SW fishing permit until next year. All you need is you HMS permit.

I don't think you need one for bonito. I would go ahead and buy one anyway just incase something else came along and you wanted to keep it. It is only $22.00. If you buy one now it is only good until May 31st, then you would have to renew it for the 2006 permit.

planning on one but after May 31st and we'll likely boat some Bonito before then......never even though of the need in the past
