Default Falls lake crappie

Well, didnt feel like making the trip down to topsail and the weather was just to nice...so I hooked up the boat and headed to falls lake with the family, went up to the barton ramp and bought some minnows, while I was getting gas a guy stoped by and asked if we were fishing and I said of course...he told us of a spot up from the landing..well my three boys caught crappie till they didnt want to fish anymore, we caught about 20 in about an hour from 9 to 13 inches, we kept some for the fryer, does anyone know how to cook these things, I fileted the biggest ones and headed, scaled and gutted the others..this was our first serious freshwater fishing trip but now I am hooked its nice to have a good trip this close to home, thanks again to the guy in the camo southern skimmer....

Awesome trip!

It was beautiful today to stay the least, we got out kinda late today but ate lunch on Jordan Lake, cruised and fished for a couple hours. Didn't do as well as you but this "sweetwater spot fishing" can get exciting for the kids.

On the cooking, I guess fry 'em up like spots!

HotSpot can tell ya, him and Ralph get on them quite regular.
