I posted this in the West Coast Forum to, but I know that us Carolina Boys are the #1 Forum so I figured I would post it here to...
My wife and I are looking to get away for about 5 days or so, and neither one of us have even been to Cancun. We have been to many other "tropical" areas and the pictures of Cancun look beautiful. When looking over places, I tend to usual go for the all-inclusive deals mainly because I love cold beer, and hot food. I was wondering if anyone out there has ever stayed at an RIU Resort specifally the Cancun Riu Palace Las Americas. The pictures make it look beautiful.
Any input would be apprecaited. We are looking to go from April 7th-12th.
Matt,
Go for it.. Just check with the hotel you choose to be sure they are fully recovered from Hurricane damage. Some are, some not. Just across the bay is Isla Mueras (sp),a short ferry ride. Some of the "local" boats may still be there fishing for sailfish..
Thanks, actually I just booked the trip. It should been fun. To be honest Jenny needs it more than I have since she has been real busy at work lately.
I am going to "try" to go fishing one day, but we will see. Only being there for 5 days, I'm sure she will find stuff for us to do without me going fishing.
Went last summer and stayed at the Riu Las Americas. All inclusive, about 6 different evening restaurant choices plus the buffet. Two pools, one for adults with swim up bar. Small beach, but that was ok. Topless gals on the beach there too.....
