The last day of Blasting we talked about a Spring thing. Suggestions were a roundup 3 day weekend at Morehead? Cast and Cast? Can't remember much else. Maybe a bit early but its nice to think of Spring. Any early ideas? hopefully we can get Greg Manning, and Bailey as well as others included. I heard Thubert will be providing extra refreshment since he is the KING! Do they make a 2200 container? March, April?

Sounds good to me, if I'm in town. Sorry I couldn't make the last one, schedules conflicted. I have several shad trips in late Feb/early March and then stripers the last week of April, other than that I'm standing on ready. Maybe we should have a dinner somewhere just to "practice" for the real thing??????
I'm game too! Since some of us don't have what you would call offshore battlewagons, we may want to wait until late April sometime so the Hispanic Mackerals will be there. BTW, I can sleep probably 6 on Harkers Island and the motels there are very reasonable. Quicker run to the Cape too. Just a suggestion.
May/June sounds good. COBIA, spanish and Kings! Spot you better borrow some reels if you go king fishing....you remember what that little snake did to your penn 310.

OK I realize I may have been early in setting this up. So what. I can't wait!
I just got of the phone with HOTSPOT.
The place- Morehead
The date- sometime between April1 st and before Memorial day. I hate holiday traffic.
The stay- I say 4 days. Thurs-Sun?
Lodging- Shag mentioned some Hotels.
As the date gets closer I'll do a sign in sheet for boats. Not everyone needs a boat. I will take 3 on mine. I get the impression this will be more inshore fishing.
Obviously the longer we wait for water temps to go up the more variety bite we get. The weather has been funny so far to say the least. Any other thoughts?

Steve, June thru Nov. would be best for a deal @ Sneads Ferry for Kings or offshore. Greg and I need to get together and set somethimg up. New Marina has a few local tourneys a year that might be fun. I can sleep about 6 more at my place Greg? Holiday inn real close. Enough dock space for extra boats at my place. Rambling here but I'll get with Greg and see what we can set up. Might be march or so before I know about Marina tournys.
Yea... Sneads Ferry is what I reemember. I was asked to bring my boat (for a total of 3 I think) for some offshore action.
We were staying at Greg's place and one other cottage there.

How about we take a time out for the Sneads Ferry deal and wait for the fishing to heat up. Maybe July sometime? That way if some want to do Morehead in the spring the planning can begin.
