I recieved mine in the mail last week also. It always seems that no matter how fast I send it back to them ,the refund check is always really slow in coming.

This is a little off topic and doesn't apply to me but I was wondering something. If you use your vessel commercially and write off 100% of the fuel as an expense do you still get the state tax back? If you do get the state tax back, is it entered as income since you already expensed the fuel?
Shag, partially correct. Brown Dog writes off the entire cost of the fuel including taxes but does NOT apply for the tax refund. It's not double dipping, it's just an unnecessary paper step. With that said, if I did write off the cost of fuel and THEN applied for the refund it would have to be entered as income from "the business".
OR........ I could apply for the all expenses paid vacation being offered by the IRS...... I couldn't find any of their locations that I really want to visit though...........................
