Default Oregon Inlet?

Me and some buddies are planning a trip to Oregon Inlet some time after the 17th of this month. Will be in a 32 foot century.."Big Mack" Just wondering if anybody will be in the area and if any one is willing to share info about the area. Stories about that inlet have frightened me to say the least. Is it really that bad?

I lived there for many years and will share anything I can with you. It's not a bad inlet when you understand that hard N/ NE is a no go. Any questions let me know. It's a striper slaughter when you get out. I'll be there over X-Mas.

I run the inlet a lot during the rock season and have a new respect for it everytime.I'm running a 22' Sea Pro and usually don't have any problem but I pick my days and like mentioned before I don't attempt on a NE wind and for someone not familiar with the area I would reccomend following one of the charter boats out from marina thru inlet as I still do whenever possible it sometimes changes and they run it everyday. You should do fine in a 32' as long as you can stay off the bar.Good luck fishing!
