Default winter Hilton Head fishing?

Day after X-mas, my dad (jiminGA) and I are taking our new GW 228 down to Hilton Head for a week. I know winter fishing isn't near as productive as summer, but wondering what fish to go after, where and how. Any input would be great!!

I want to bump this post from my son Adam. We really would appreciate some helpful ideas on what area might be best for inshore or very near shore (within 10 miles or so) fishing locations and for what species. Any THTers around HHI that might help us? We'll be operating out of Skull Creek marina. Thanks!

We have large over the slot limit redfish in several locations . Also nearshore wreck fishing for Sheephead and summer trout(General Gordon wreck and the wreck of the lawerence). Bluefin Tunas may be here around 20 miles. Have fun.

If the weather doesn't permit an off shore trip, there are black sea bass and summer trout at the Parris Island reef in the Broad River.

Charles and Charlie, Thanks for the input! Any chc I coiuld give you guys a call for an update when we get down to HHI? I could use a little advice on rigging for reef fishing if you're going to be around. Feel free to PM me with a phone number if you wouldn't mind. Thanks again.

We wnet down and fished between Paris island and Hilton Head. there is a submerged steam ship, close to the channel marker. We went with a guide so I do not have the numbers, but maybe someone else will. Good luck.
