Default Fishing report OIB Wed. night.

Grabbed the poles wed. afternoon. Threw lines off the rocks at the bank a S of the bridge. Had fish on w/in minutes ended up w/30+ Spots and croakers. Some two at a time. Nice size little monsters. They even kept biting at slack tide. Blood worms and shrimp. Huge fish breaking right in front of us all night. Not sure if they were trout or strippers busting bait fish, tried everything couldn't get those on. Lazy, sitting, beer drinking type of fishing...

Between just below E-town on highway #87 .....family tract on the Cape Fear River... mostly
river swamps...hate to miss this w/end cause the rut seems to be cranking up fairly strong but I feel that
next w/end should just as good if'n we get some cooler weather....probably hunt Fri/Sat and fish Sunday
of next w/end.....

FLYING.......We are about 3 miles from Hammonds .....back towards E-town.....hope this cool weather will
knock down some of the turkey size "skitters".......we are also getting somewhat peturbed with all the real
Turkeys roaring thru our corn piles...Just where they all came from is beyond me...guess they figure that the
corn is for them...sorta fun watching them fuss and fight over a cob of corn.......
