Default Man killed near Ruddy Ducks July 4 weekend

My dentist told me about the horrible death - right off the docks near Ruddy Duck - over the 4th weekend. From what the dentist said, a drunk guy threw a beer bottle into the water - prompting another man to kind of call him out by saying "hey, what are you doing?" According to the story, the drunk then took another bottle, slammed the second guy in the head, and that caused him to fall into the water and drown....right in front of a big crowd.

Here is the media report....doesn't give many details. Is the dentist' report accurate? How awful....

the guy who died is a very good friend of mine. It wasn't a beer bottle he was it with, the guy punched him knocking him off the railing at Jacks. My sister is good friends with him also and she was right there and watched it happen. It has been a sad weekend in our community

Yikes, sorry for your loss. A very bizarre and sad story.

And I was telling my wife that I assumed, with everyone having their own conversations, etc, that by the time anyone realized this guy was really in trouble, it was too late. Such a waste.

Was he known to the victim? Or just a stranger? (sad either way of course...just wondering...)

Sorry for your loss.

Sadly, not much follow up on the news. Glad to find out they have the killer in custody.
