Hello all,
Will be passing through Beaufort NC next week and trying to determine if I should stay at the Town Creek Marina ( I see they have a restaraunt there) or the Town Dock, one night only. Is either one protected enough so I'm not rocking all night? Will also need to fuel up (diesel). What's your preference? Will probably stay on the ICW up to Norfolk.
Thanks
Capt Tom
Either place will be nice and comfortable for you. Plenty of choices for eating/beverages at the town dock and the restaurant at Town Creek Marina is good also. If end up at the town dock you should try the yellowfin at the Blue Moon Bistro off of Queen street. Personally I would stay at the town dock.
Add my vote for the Town Dock. No rocking even on my little boat.
Many good restaurant choices and if your Admiral is with you she will like Front Street.
Thanks for your help, everyone. Running up from FL to RI but stopping every evening. Going solo so I don't want to take too many chances. Should get done in 7 days. Everything is plotted and reservations made, just Beaufort was my one variable.
Enjoy the holiday weekend.

Quick update...
Stayed at the Town Dock. Great place and dockhands were there in the rain helping me tie up and fuel. Funny that these guys were running around in ponchos and bare feet. Had to lay over a day due to the wx, but had a great steak at Ribeye. The public Library, just a few blocks away, has Internet access so I could keep an eye on the wx several times. Have a few wooden nickles left for next trip. Town Dock was good choice.
Trouble was when I left Thursday early AM, the fog socked in as I rounded Radio Island so bad that the radar had trouble punching through. Kept up for five miles.
Also stopped at Coinjock NC marina. Great crew there and the prime rib was fabulous.
Trip was good, finally getting to Norfolk Saturday.
Thanks for all the help.
