Default Recommendations for charter or party boat around Charleston

Never posted to this site before today. I am also very new to saltwater fishing(gone twice on a party boat). We are having a family reunion in Charleston the last week of April, and would like some recommendations for a walk on charter or a party boat. Only two or three at the reunion are interested in going fishing. We will be staying in the Isle of Palms area.

Thanks,

Randy

The Thunderstar out of Shem Creek (Mt. Pleasant) is a good party boat. I went a couple of years ago and caught a bunch of fish. I'd recommend it. There is a smaller head boat (Carolina Clipper) at Shem Creek as well. I have not been on that one, but have heard good things also. You might want to make reservations as they can sometimes be full (I tried to go standby once and did not get on).

Check out charlestonfishing.com.

This is about a 15 minute drive from IOP. Go through Sullivan's Island, over Ben Sawyer bridge and Shem Creek is about 3-4 miles on left.

Go with the Thunderstar for sure...best "party" boat around!
