Default Slip prices at CB

Just a thought.... Anyone think the price for a slip at Carolina Beach will drop with the closing of the inlets? The ride to Masonboro will turn some folks off.

Don't know if prices will drop or not, but I agree that CB Inlet closing is a turn off to keeping a boat there.

I would think that anyone like me who lives outside of the local area would be considering relocating the boat. This may take some time to show up in the demand for slips and dry storage, as many people may not immediatley have another option in mind.

So far I have only made the run from Inlet Watch to Masonboro during the winter months, so I don't know how long its going to take during the peak times yet.

Could be that the type of boats and boaters staying there will shift away from the offshore crowd.

I'll tell you from experience, it SUCKS!!! Not so bad if it is right at dawn or after dark. If yall get a chance to run CB Inlet soon I would recomend it, save the route on your gps for future ref in case they do yank the bouys. I have run it the past two weekends with no wories. The lowest water I observed was 8-9 ft (mid tide). It will take a big storm to change things drastically. I'm sure on a super low tide she'll get hairy as she always has. As of right now the bouys are still there and inlet is fine. Lets keep hoping for the best.
