The only time I've helped catch one was early to mid August, hotter than the hinges of He!!. 100 degrees or more 3 days straight. He!! of a battle and fun, fun, fun. We got him next to the boat in about 45 min. Tried for fifteen min. to get him in for a photo op, but he was huge and I guess our technique sucked. Anyway he finally broke off, which actually relieved me. You ought to see those silver rockets tailwalk. BTW we were in the Pungo on the AR about 4-5 miles out of Belhaven.
